Well, it's gotten to the point in packing where the computer must go bye-bye.

I'm not sure how the internet situation will shake out, but I will be posting again as soon as I am able.

Tomorrow is going to be 10+ hours on planes and in airports. That's a long time.

I have returned from my viewing of The Dark Knight, and I am well pleased.

Spoilers Ahoy )

Have I mentioned it was awesome? Oh yes. Awesome.

ETA: That preview for the upcoming Watchmen movie gave me the tingles all over. It may even motivate me to try reading that thing again, despite my extremely low Alan-Moore-tolerance.

Here's A Question ...

Does wanting one of these shirts make me smug and kind of douchey?

Or even worse, a creepy singalong stalker-girl? This is his haairr!

Not that it matters, as they're all sold out of my size. But still - it's important to know these things ...

At this time next week, I will be in San Francisco.

AAAAAGGHHHHHHHHHH.

Packing is Hell. Packing, and having to leave stuff in your mom's house, where you know she HATES having stuff left - Double Super Extra Special Hell. With sprinkles.

I hate having so much stuff that I don't want right now, but know I'll regret if I pitch it.

I know So You Think You Can Dance is kind of a silly, teeny-bopper-esque show, run by the same underlords of Hell that dredged American Idol up from the depths to befoul our TV sets.

And I know that the judges are irritating, shrieking harpies whose main purpose in life is to attempt to burst the eardrums of as many viewers as they can

But I really like dancing, and sometimes they do stuff like taking a couple composed of a hip-hop dancer and a contemporary dancer and handing them over to a Bollywood choreographer

and then THIS happens:

And it is just so deliciously awesome, and makes me happy.

That is all.

Your result for The Attachment Style Test...

The Free Agent

30% Anxiety Over Abandonment and 42% Avoidance Of Intimacy

You like to be independent, to play by your own rules. You're not terribly interested in finding a partner and settling down, and it makes you nervous to imagine that someone might depend on you for anything. Were you to find the right partner--someone as independent as you, probably--you'd not be too put out about sharing your adventures with him/her.

Fictional characters with whom you might identify: Han Solo (Star Wars), Beatrice ("Much Ado About Nothing")

Other Attachment Types:
Secure: The Unicorn | The Cuddleslut | The Free Agent
Preoccupied: The Cling Wrap | The Squid | The Insect
Fearful: The Doormat | The Leper | The Exile
Dismissing: The Hermit | The Stone | The Player
Confused: The Waffler

EEEEEEEEheeeheheheehheee!

::goes off in search of appropriate icons::

ETA: I'm having quite good luck! Although now I'm also being motivated to look for good Willow icons ...

ETA AGAIN: It's difficult to find Willow icons. Searching with that as an interest just pulls up all the Buffy comms ... ::llamaface::

OK, so I'm making a change. It could be a good idea, it could be yet another in my very long list of bad ideas.

At the end of the month, I'm heading out to California. I have some very nice friends in San Francisco who are going to help me get on my feet.

After the most recent doom-ness of job-searchery, it seemed like I ought to change things up. So, this is what I'm going to do.
